This past Wednesday, March 5, 2014, We (Lynn & I) and my sister-in-law drove over to Charleston, South Carolina to Blue Bicycle Books I was excited to meet Lauren Oliver and get my copy of Panic signed. We got to the bookstore right at 5 p.m. and had no choice but stand (thank you sturdy bookcases that we leaned against). It was fun listening to the panel of authors speak so passionately or not so passionately about their books. One highlight of the day was seeing a mixture of people in the audience, yes of course there were lots of young adults/teens at the event but there were also fathers, and grandparents at the event, it warmed my heart. I ended up buying Faking Normal also at the bookstore and getting it to signed.
Here are pictures of the event:
My left to right: Courtney C. Stevens (Faking Normal); Katie Cotugno (How To Love); Melissa C. Kantor (Maybe One Day); Robyn Schneider (The Beginning of Everything) and Lauren Oliver (PANIC)
